Brief:
Many major international auctions have been conducted in the famous Great Room at Christie’s King Street during the firm's illustrious history. The location is one of 85 offices and 14 salerooms around the world, including London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Geneva, Milan, Dubai and Hong Kong.
Land Design Studio provided the interior design for the London headquarters. David Atkinson Lighting Design (DALD) worked closely alongside the design team to produce a sympathetic approach to the overall lighting scheme of this unique site. Christie’s brief was to provide a cutting edge feel to the main reception, valuation rooms, cashier, collections and all new Duke Street galleries, which would radically update the previous guise.
DALD Lighting Designer David Atkinson approached A.C. Special Projects to supply all architectural lighting to meet his specification for the lighting scheme.
